Oh bygone... how to review you. Bygone can be a nice elegant restaurant to go out for a nice meal or it can be the rowdiest hang out spot for people who have finished their event and looking to keep the good times rolling. I can't deal with it late night in a Fri or Sat, too many people packed in like sardines and its a minor miracle to get a drink. The rooftop views are always spectacular and its nice to go to a place that actually demands you wear more than jeans and a tshirt. The food is similar to other Atlas restaurants, heavy on the salt and butter, but palatable.
Amazing food but if you are going for ambience that is average.. place is loud. Every dish is good so if you foodie like me, I highly recommend this place.
Gorgeous view. Attentive service. Convivial but chill and inclusive vibe. Extensive beverage selection. Prices were not bad for the quality and venue. Definitely worth a visit.
Bygone was a destination eating experience! Superb customer service, breathtaking view of Inner Harbor, and delicious food. I'm not sure what they put in the omelette, but it was the absolute BEST omelette I've ever had. The Bygone is in the top floor of the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore. We went on a Sunday for brunch to celebrate birthdays--we couldn't have picked a better place. Dave, our customer service rep, said they plan to add more food options to the bullet... can you say caviar. I definitely will patronize this restaurant again, soon! And if you have a spec event, occasion (e.g., engagement, anniversary, or birthday) this is a sure bet to take it over the top!
From the moment I stepped off the elevator, I knew this was going to be a special experience. They greeted me by name--no need to check in twice. The attention to detail was impeccable. Our journey through the menu was expertly guided by our captain, who was knowledgeable, intuitive, and truly elevated the experience. She was so exceptional that I way over-tipped--happily. Being from NY, I took my daughter for a special dinner, not expecting the breathtaking views we had. But as stunning as the views were, the flavors kept us focused on the food. The shaved truffles over a perfectly cooked egg? A flawless bite. And that was just the beginning. It only got better from there. I'll be back every chance I get. While my daughter staying in Maryland after college is reason enough to visit, Beyond is a very close second.
Stunning views. They have Nick and Nora martini glasses which we were blown away with. Attention to detail is what they offer. Our bartender Justin was amazing, he took the time to tell us about the Baltimore Harbor and the menu in great detail. LOVE the Bygone and cannot wait to reture. Beth A/NY
The Bygone remains one of the best rooftop bars in Baltimore. The outdoor areas are stunning with the fireplaces and views. It has the best view of the city, IMO. The drinks are always crafted so well. I have not tried the food but plan on coming back for it one day. It's a very classy establishment and I wish Baltimore had more places like this! The only knock I have on this place is that they really need more bartenders working because every time I go, it's a struggle to get a drink. Once you have a drink, everything is great!
I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at The Bygone. We were lucky to have made last-minute reservations while visiting family in Baltimore. As you enter The Four Seasons, you are escorted to the rooftop, The Bygone. The elevator opens up to panoramic view of the Harbor and lively nightlife. Our reservation was for cocktails, only, so we were escorted to a cocktail table across from the bar. There was a DJ for the evening, it wad the perfect mixture of people watching and provided entertainment. My date and I ordered old fashions, which were perfectly made. So much so, I was quite tipsy by my 2nd. All in all, The Bygone is the perfect atmosphere for a late night elevated experience. The only caveat is coming down at the end of the night, which you have to wait for the elevator for.
Fancy and sexy vibe with beautiful people all around. Great large crowd with fabulous music that will get you moving. Service was a bit slow since it was packed but the drinks were on point. Excellent rooftop bar with stunning view.
I have never updated a 5 star review with another 5 star review, so here goes nothing..LOL! Who doesn't like being treated to dinner and especially one that I consider the best Baltimore has to offer, so of course, I was ALLLL IN!! :) After eating our appetizers and engaged in conversation, we didn't notice that time had gone by without our entrees arriving. Well, our super attentive server did and she apologized and said, desserts were on the house. We thought that was very nice of her, but again, we weren't starving because we did have a little something in our stomachs..LOL! Without noticing, the sun had set and wow, still no entrees. We didn't bring it to their attention, but our amazing server directly told us, entrees will also be on The Bygone because of the unusual issues in the kitchen. The food came out shortly after and the lamb chops and lump crab cakes were delicious. What a classy gesture and amazing customer service. The Bygone had me hooked after my first visit many moons ago and still has me hooked today because they are what I call "class personified"!!!!
